Getting the sparkle back

Sanderling

Seen near Gullane Point in East Lothian. A lovely trip with T where we saw (and heard) lots of bird life: many Shelduck, some Curlew, also Teal, Mallard, a flock of Knot, a number of Sanderling who we loved watching running about near the water, trying not to get their feet too wet, Rooks, Starlings, Blue Tits, Field Fares and some others that I'm sure I've forgotten. We also saw and heard larks ascending - don't know that I've heard them in February before. And there were some roe deer too.
