Puppies

Justin and I went to meet these beautiful rescue puppies this evening. Being born to a feral mother, they were cautious of people, but soon warmed up to us and we had some lovely puppy snuggles. It was love at first sight!

In the end, however, we decided that we wouldn't be the right forever home for these babies. They were pretty large pups, and at only 11 weeks were about the size of Lacey. We think they are Malamute crosses, which are northern sled dogs with an insatiable need to run. They also love to give chase, and particularly enjoy catching smaller animals, including family pets, which they then destroy. While we might have been able to provide fun dog sports and training, we couldn't do anything about their basic instinct to make lunch of Lacey...

Fast forward a month and the pups have all been adopted, and Lacey is still loving life.
