False Dawn

After the mild winter we are finally having some frosty nights.  The snowdrop flowers were ravaged by slugs but so far these dwarf narcissus have only suffered minor damage.

Yesterday I looked forward hopefully to a very busy weekend followed by a trip to the Alps on Monday ....... today I am pole-axed by a nasty virus and confined to bed.  The weekend looks doubtful and the trip to the Alps in the balance.  I'm not going to take my germs on holiday with me!
