While taking this photo of the new Queensferry Crossing  I stood under the Forth Road Bridge (extra) listening to the noisy traffic rumbling overhead again since the bridge has now fully opened after its recent problems.    Those working on the tall towers, which are over 200 metres high and can be seen for many miles around, must be glad that the weather was calm and they can continue extending the decks to link up with the other two towers (extra)  By December the new bridge should be open and so relieving a lot of pressure on the 52 year old road bridge which will be dedicated for public transport and cyclists and walkers.   It will be the third very distinctive bridge over the Forth within a kilometre or so.
