Water Lily

Oh no, have I been fooled... I took this blip because I liked the double ends petals, others were shut both ends but this was opening. It seemed quite weird, but the sign said Colchicum 'Water Lily' and I could imagine seeing it near a pond.

But on checking at home, searching for that name brings up a purple flower quite different to it. Colchicum shows some yellow flowers, not quite the same. Why is it so difficult... what are you?
