Mrs Mallard

There was so much to do at work that I didn't finish my morning shift until two hours later than I should have. A colleague, who was finishing at the same time, very kindly offered to drive me home so I wouldn't have to wait for a bus. I had to go out again briefly though as I'd nearly ran out of flat-leaved parsley for Rosie and it was when I was walking to the supermarket that I spotted this female Mallard enjoying one of the very rare sunny spells that we had today.
