An Artist's Life

Almost Gone

Some may remember the huge stacks of hay-rolls from an autumn blip of this same spot. Suffice it to say, the cattle wintered well on this ranch and the stacks continue to dwindle as they are still fed daily.
The Bitterroots still sparkle with a mantle of snow while the valley floor basks in the afternoon brilliance....quietly warming her shoulders in the sun. Soon, the little cows will be dotting the pastures like black, brown and white mushrooms while their mothers nose and lick them to life.
