Elfcup

Great news from BlipCentral today - updates to the website coming on Saturday!

Shopping again this morning - 90 minutes from home to home via two supermarkets - can't be bad...

Later I took a load of stuff to the tip recycling centre - and had Finaly with me again, although he didn't seem so bothered about not seeing me in the car this time. We walked along the old Harrogate - Church Fenton railway line from Thorp Arch to Walton Road - 3 miles round trip - but it took forever as Finlay had to stop and sniff everything as we haven't been along the route for months.

The route is now part of the National cycle network and so is paved which makes relatively easy walking. Part of the route runs in an old cutting and was completely sheltered from the wind - and actually felt quite  warm.

I found these Elfcup fungi, which may be either the Ruby or Scarlet species. They are difficult to tell apart just by looking (apparently) - you need a microscope to examine them! There were several patches of them and I have never come across them in the flesh before.
