Sun going down at the harbour

A busy day for me. Up early and off to the Puffin Pool. A really lovely ride. The moon was going down over pink coloured, snow covered mountains with a tractor ploughing followed by gulls, red kites and buzzards , if only you could blink to take a photo. All the mountains were covered in snow and a wonderful blue sky.
Back home and I sat in the garden and had my breakfast, no coat needed. I noticed movement further down the field and saw two cock pheasants displaying. Amazing to watch them lift into the air , wings flapping.
A quick walk on the beach with Mike and then lunch with the Neighbours at the local restaurant. Lovely to catch up and have a laugh.

Anne retold me a funny story that one of the other ladies in the Pool hd told her. Although funerals are sad funny things do happen. The ladies brother-in-law had died and her sister received a call from the undertakers. 'I'm really sorry', he said 'but we have a problem with the flowers'. 'oh' she said. 'Yes, there's a Chicken arrangement that we are having trouble fitting in to the car. We can squeeze it in the back if that's ok ?' he explained. 'ok' she said.
As they followed the car to the Church all the sister could see was the chicken stuck in the back and the movement of the car was making it's head bob up and down all the way.
After getting out of the car she accused her brother of arranging the 'chicken' for a joke. 'Not me !' he said. Another relative approached looking rather embarrassed 'it was me ' she said 'It's meant to be a dove of peace !'
