Loosing weight

I took our pretty tortoiseshell cat Leia  to the vet for her annual jab (Indie should have come too but he didn't show up on time).

It seems that in the long term she has been gradually loosing weight, and whilst the vet was not too worried, he told us to keep an eye on her.  He explained that if this needed further investigation, the next stage would be a blood or urine test.

Come again?  A urine test...on a cat?

I don't think in the 9 years she's been alive I've ever even seen her wee, and my mind is therefore boggling on how I catch it....
