A Forest of Reed Mace

Gill and I went to Launde Abbey, east of Leicester, this afternoon, to see the snowdrops.

The snowdrops were disappointing but I did like the reed mace that grows by the pool in front of the house.

I was also disappointed that the gluten free scone that I had ordered two days ago did not appear. The chef refused to serve it as he said it was too hard.

Copious amounts of tea though.

Basil really played up Gill. She wanted to take him for a long, brisk walk while I did some photography, but he was having none of it and kept pulling her back towards me. She was surprised by how strong such a little dog can be.
