Andrea Bocelli at Teatro del Silenzio, Lajatico

Last night was the most amazing night. We came to Tuscany for a holiday and also to see Andrea Bocelli perform in his home town of Lajtico. It was INCREDIBLE!!! The performance was mainly opera based, several Puccini pieces from Madame Butterfly and also Carmen, and others from Chopin, as well as an amazing crossover guitar duo who performed amongst other things, a classical version of "House of the Rising Sun". Not forgetting a wonderful line up of sopranos that he duetted with.
The scene was breathtaking. An openair theater set in what can only be described as an idyllic, picture perfect rolling Tuscan landscape.Golden, cypress lined fields surrounded us, the sun shone (until it went down) and we relaxed with good a good bottle of chianti!! WHat more could we ask for!!!
I will get back to regular blipping as soon as possible. It has been entirely impossible of late unfortunately and I have a wealth of backblipping to do. Forgive me for not commenting of late, I will get there as soon as I can.
