Fish Market Venice

A place of changing personality! Managed to wander round during the day when it was in full swing and caught a few shots of very confident seagulls having fun with the leftovers!

Between here and Rialto Market is THE place to hang out in the evening. I managed a few Spritz with gigantic olives over the break in Italy- very nice. Aperol seems to have gained popularity over the years so you see more orange than red spritz by quite a margin now. I'll always be a Campari girl though.

During the day here you can get a Treghetto/ Traghetto (probably spelled incorrectly) over to the other side of the canal. I managed to stand up in it all the way across. It is an oversized Gondilla commanded by two blokes who steer it with poles, one at each end. It was a scary and wobbly experience but it's the first time I have managed to stand up all the way!
