Sooty Shearwater.

Yesterday we rescued this Sooty Shearwater that had crash landed on a cruise ship in Akaroa harbour. The ship bought it into Lyttelton harbour. It is an underweight juvenile. Our vet is famous for her sardine smoothies. After  enjoying several of these, 24 hrs later we released it. How amazing to see it fly off. 
My 2 extras is it's flight away across the harbour.
