A northeastern wind force 5 and only 6 centigrade. Our training led over the hill and through the Vijlener forest towards Vaals. A rather sheltered route eastwards. Coming down from the hill, in full speed, we had sore faces and tears in our eyes caused by the icy wind.
Up the Schneeberg, across the valley, we had headwind but also the benefits of hairpin turnings, but both felt silly for not having stopped at some restaurant in Vaals, to warm up. Finally on the plateau, it still was cold, but the crosswind came more or less from behind and the slope was slightly downwards all the way to the village.
We now know that we really must take a break after approximately one of cycling, as long as it is still wintertime. Just like we did last Wednesday in Teuven. Oh, I'm always in for a coffee with apple pie and whip cream :)

The blip is on top of the hill where we logged a cache.
