Snowdrops

Joanna and I went out this afternoon to Danevale Park, near Crossmichael, which was open under the auspices of the Scottish Open Gardens Scheme. The main attraction was the wonderful display of snowdrops - Mrs Gillespie has held snowdrop walks here since 1951 and was out in the garden today selling them in the green in aid of Poppy Scotland.
Joanna and I walked through the gardens and along the banks of the River Dee before enjoying afternoon tea. It was such a lovely day that people were having tea outside!
