Fountains Abbey

We went over to check out the cafe and see the snowdrops at Fountains Abbey. I've not been here for over a decade.

The Abbey Tea Room was a bit of a disappointment and I felt sorry for the man who was on his own serving - he was clearly overwhelmed but did well in the circumstances.

It wasn't too busy and we stayed until closing time at 5pm. I enjoyed the bird hide - an assortment of tits, finches, blackbirds, pheasants, rabbits and three greater spotted woodpeckers in the space of ten minutes.
