Latest Jeep

In 2006 we bought out first vehicle, a Mitsubishi L 200 and it has finally resigned and sat down.  It owes us nothing.
Last summer we went to Granard, in Longford, bought a 2005 Mitsubishi again but the story did not repeat itself. We drove it to Tilbury docks in the UK, from where it took a RoRo ferry to Dar-es-Sallaam in Ethiopia. then by road to Mzuzu, 1400 km away.
before it arrived it developed engine problems: looks like maybe the oil was never changed  as the sump was full of crap. We have since had to change the complete engine and more. 
Today I bought a 2010 a Toyota Hilux, 124000 km, serviced by Toyota Malawi every 5000km, in really great condition with one of the most careful owners I have ever met.    Even thought all vehicles in Malawi are vastly more expensive than in Ireland, this cost less than the vehicle bought from that lovely man in Granard.
