Oh Mimi oh My!!!

Dad still feeling poorly but the twins were training.  Perhaps in hindsight a night off would have been better...

The guys were running a shooting drill and Mimi was playing very well, she made a huge glove save from one of the under 16's he really laid into it and it went net bound like a rocket.  Mimi got her glove on it but even from the bench I could see her wrist twist through 180 degrees but true to form she held on making the save.  She immediately skated from her net and we obviously in pain as she skated to the bench.  She skated over and stuck her glove down the front of her leg pads (it's a goalie thing)  and it was obvious that she was already swollen and her wee face was a white as a sheet.  She was adamant she was playing on and skated back to her net, one more shift and she was done, she skated over and straight to the gate to come off the ice.  she changed and sat on the bench for the last half hour of the session watching Fraser run D-drills.

At A & E the casualty staff looked at her and had the sharp intake of breath moment much to my dismay!!! X-ray and the good news nothing broken, thankfully.  A very sore goalie tonight but strapped up and home to rest.  Her first question will I be fit to play on Saturday??? Only time will tell.
