A Data Remember

We had a day in London today. Weirdly, despite being on holiday today we still ended up being within a couple of minutes' walk from the office!

We started the day visiting Three Bridges, an amazing construction designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, involving a road going over a canal going over a railway. The extra is a shot by Chris, taken from the road looking down.

Then we headed into the city, where we made a slightly odd visit that I (Annie) had wanted to make for a while. We sat in the public gallery of the Old Bailey (the Central Criminal Court in London), watching a couple of trials take place. We'd never seen how a court worked apart from on TV, so it was fascinating to sit and listen to the judge and barristers.

Finally, we headed to the "Big Bang Data" exhibition at Somerset House. It's fascinating - all about the data we share as part of our everyday lives nowadays. It showed data as a mix of art, analysis, control and coercion. Really, really interesting. It's on until 20th March if you want to see it yourself. The blip is Somerset House, lit up in the evening.

Happy leap day.
