High Above Hong Kong

Turning south after take off from Chek Lap Kok Airport (i.e. Hong Kong International) and an aerial tour of Hong Kong: Hong Kong Island on the right & Kowloon on the left.

In the top left you can see the former runway of Kai Tak Airport - which is now home to a cruise terminal amongst other developments.

All I can say is I'm glad the new airport exists and I didn't land on this runway - happy to avoid the scary approach manoeuvre affectionately known as the Kai Tak Heart Attack
