Red-winged Dragonfly

An afternoon spent exploring the Botanic Gardens, hiding under shade for the most part but still melting in the heat & humidity!

Lots of tropical flowers in vibrant colours - the National Orchid Garden was especially worth a visit - plus the occasional butterfly, lizard and dragonfly, including this red-winged beauty which didn't immediately fly off when I got closer to take a photo!
