Huntley's Cave...

blipped before, but wondered what it was like to live there in winter, as Lewis Gordon, third Marquis of Huntley did in the 17th Century. The track was incredibly slippy as the snow had melted then refrozen, but was only in patches as can be seen below the cave.Decided it was not pleasant, but he was in love and Mary, daughter of the Laird Grant came secretly bringing him food. They were allowed to marry eventually.
The extra is Lochindorb, looking very cold but it was not bad really. The ice was confined to the eastern edge, left, where the platelets from time to time sounded like a window being smashed, not very melodic today!
