Cross Church

After a reassuring visit to the GP (I have to watch my cholesterol levels) we took a celebratory trip down to Peebles Cross Church, which chamberlainjohn has recommended. My photo is of a sculpted helmet embedded in the wall (above the far doorway in his blip), chosen because it does not appear on any of the other sites. I may discover its significance at some point.

Following a quick lunch in town we sped to Dawyck Garden for some extra photos - a plentiful supply of snowdrops with a birdwatching bonus of treecreepers and then a nuthatch joining the blue, great and coal tits on the feeder.

And we managed to dodge the showers - what a lovely day.
