GUARDIAN

One of the owls in the old cemetery. This one is almost completely hidden by foliage later in the year. The area around the bottom of his trunk is covered in clumps of snowdrops and crocuses (see extra), like offerings, and toadstools in the autumn. There are real owls who live there too, and we sometimes hear them at night, though I wouldn't venture in there after dark.
