Lent Lily At Lodge Farm

Weather has been rubbish here today. I had a quick walk at Lodge Farm this evening once the rain had stopped. I met the farmer at the gate and I told him about the wildlife I've captured there recently. He said that wheatears visit in summer. I've never seen one, I'll have to keep my eyes skinned.

As it is St David's day I've photographed the only clump of daffodils on the farm. The farmer thinks they came in on some imported soil. My granny used to call all daffodils Lent lilies but strictly they are the wild, small-flowered ones with greyish leaves and pale yellow flowers with a darker trumpet.
