Resplendent Quetzal

So. This is the bird in Costa Rica and we got amazing views of one bringing an enormous insect to its young in its nest in a dead tree today. Speechless. This is the male. The female doesn't have the tail.

Headed to bed - have to be up an on the shuttle to the airport at 4:30AM!!!
