So there was I....

....sitting in a truck in the middle of the Okavango Delta, when a couple of lions came by. We watched them for a while then followed them as they picked up the scent of a dead impala, caught yesterday by a leopard.

No sooner had they found it than they pounced and crunched their was through all that was left while the leopard looked on from the safety of a tree.

I've put the fuzzy shot of the two lions and a bit of Land Rover in extras so you can see just how close we were. As they passed within a metre of us my heart stopped beating for a moment. Just as it did when we found ourselves in the middle of a herd of fifty elephants.
