Edinburgh - Day 1

This is the view from Ann’s flat in Edinburgh.  And do you know what?..................  Even though the flat looks as though it has rising damp (it’s on the fourth floor and the tenants haven’t kept it ventilated and have left loads of c*** behind); we love it.  And when it has been totally refurbished it will look stunning!

Seriously not happy though………….  We have no internet connection.  We thought we’d be able to log onto BTfon.  Well you would have thought that someone in the vicinity would be with BT but apparently not; it’s all virgin media & sky & talktalk and other strange things that we haven’t even heard of.  So Ann’s had to go to the pub where there is free wifi. Not exactly free though is???............ she’s just had to buy a large glass of wine?????  Apparently we’ll be posting short Blips via 3G for the next couple of weeks!  I’ve had to stay home alone.  Booohooo, though I am a bit tired after all my travelling.

If anyone is interested; our journey from Derbyshire to Edinburgh took about 3 hours longer than it should have done.  And I never have proper sleep time in the car.  From Sheffield to Wetherby we got caught up in a snow storm.  We could hardly see 3ft in front of us.  And for the rest of the journey there were just miles and miles and miles of orange cones. Whoever invented the orange cones must be at least a multi-millionaire?! And speed limits of 40-50mph.  Grrrrrrr……….

But now we’re in Edinburgh.  Whoopee doo!  And it’s very cold.  We have lots of jobs to do, lots of people to meet and lots of exciting new walks for me to go on.

We are going to have fun, fun, fun!!!
