The many color of algae...

This a photo of the outflow slot on the protein skimmer on my marine tank. All the different colors are different species of algae. The bubbles are little tiny bubble of Oxygen put out by the algae. This part of the tank fascinates me. Life goes on under the most adverse and inopportune places. This one isn't particularly bad, just characteristic of the marine tank, where if there is a bit of space, there is at least one thing growing, sometime several competing for the space. Amazing...
