Tropical rain forest

The trees in the tropical rain forests are often adorned with orchids and bromeliads that cling to their trunks and branches without harming the trees themselves.  These clingers-on provide good hunting grounds for the insect eating birds and some have blooms that attract hummingbirds and other nectar seeking birds.  It's always worthwhile looking upwards in the forest.
