Lonely

Next door's nameless garden gnome makes a solitary figure under his bush, forever waiting on others' comings and goings - just occasional sniffs from Zuzu the cat to look forward to.
Today I helped facilitate a session on tackling loneliness in Rotherham. Partners gathered to look at new evidence about the risk factors at a local level, with help from the research team at the national Age UK. There are lots of well tested, relational approaches to helping breakdown loneliness and social isolation especially on our voluntary, community and faith groups. We looked at how to make sure we are reaching those who need us most.
