Six new communities today

2nd March 2016:

I went with Alferd and Cecilia to install six new pumps today in an area called Chickwina about 65Km from the factory.
Driving becomes a whole other experience, trying to avoid craters and rocks while trying to get back before dark. This is a mountainous countryside. where staying from slipping over the edge is always a challenge. This old lady pumping was a real character, she had no idea what age she was or what year she was born nor could she care less.
Nosing around I found that she had sweet cassava and red peppers, so she gave us some of both. She finally decided that I was too young for her!!
The joy of seeing the reaction to people getting clean water for the first time, made it all worth while. 
The wrecked back and bones will ache for days.
I think Cecelia said that there were 126 lovely people here.

Horrific descending, but  on the way back up, time for a respirator from me.
