Icey day today

Woke up to yet another rainy day, but it has improved a bit and has stopped raining an there may even be a sign of sunshine ... do I sound desperate for some summer weather? lol.

Anyway, went for a wander round Murrayfield (yes, near the rugby stadium for those of you who know about rugger). Anyway, had a walk along the Water of Leith, but part of the pathway is closed due to dangerous trees so went on another route to find that the gateway leading up to the Gallery of Modern Art is closed until further notice, due to the pathway being dangerous ... there appears to be a pattern here!

Anyway, here is a blip of Murrayfield Ice Rink. The rink is a 3,800-seat multi-purpose arena, right next door to Murrayfield Stadium. It was built between 1938 and 1939 and is home to the Edinburgh Capitals ice hockey team. A 7-sheet curling rink was constructed in the 1970s following the closure of the Haymarket Ice Rink.

Off to see our pal Simon, singing tonight at the Church Hill Theatre, which should fun.

Hope everyone is having a super Saturday!

Update (15.55): the sun is out and there is blue sky and it is just like summer, hurrah!
