Well Played

Well, tonight a hastily arranged match against the new Scotland team, I think everyone expected the home team to get a hammering particularly as five of the regular fourteen were playing for Scotland tonight.

True to form the internationalists raced off to a three goal lead.but not to be outdone the home team worked hard and were level before the end of the first period.  Fraser saw a lot of ice tonight and did not disappoint, he was quick and and played very well throughout.

It was nip and tuck all the way to the final period and as the game entered the last two minutes we went a man down as out captain took a seat for two for interference.  The guys dug deep and cleared their lines from the face off and held the play in the Scotland end but a breakaway came and only a last ditch covering tackle prevented a goal and then the break went the other way through one on one with the net minder our first line wing buried the puck in the back of the net with just one second remaining. An amazing effort and a stunning result.

Mimi did not play, rested for tomorrows league game due to her wrist injury sustained in the week but she did have a skate before the game training with the 14's. Back to the league tomorrow and hopefully another good performance
