WATERLILIES

This morning, bright and early I walked to the Botanical Gardens, aiming to arrive before the Saturday crowds.  I arrived at 7, only to find it opened at 8am! Consolation was finding waterlilies in the park pond  on the way home.  It's a pity that the lovely blossoms are often surrounded by less than perfect leaves.
