Street Market

There has been much excitement these last two Saturdays in Street caused by the appearance of this fruit & veg stall (we're an easily excited bunch!)

Since our local Tesco (just at the end of this precinct in the picture) closed there's been nowhere to buy fresh fruit & veg in the high street and most people have had to drive to out of town supermarkets.

This stall lost its pitch in Wells recently as the area is being redeveloped so Wells' loss is our gain. The produce is excellent quality and very cheap(those oranges are 3 for £1.20 not £120.!) I'm pleased to say it's being well-supported by locals.

We'd taken a break from sitting with Tess's Dad, who is increasingly peaceful, to do a bit of shopping, including stocking up here.

Another great win for Yeovil this afternoon to provide a bit of cheer.
