Edinburgh - Day 4

Socialising day!

By lunchtime I’d had two decent length walks.  Yay!  This is a Blip of me at the top of Blackford Hill.  And do you know why I’d had two decent length walks by lunchtime?..............  I’d had two decent length walks by lunchtime because Ann went out for lunch with friends and she said that by the time she came back she’d be too drunk tired to take me for a long walk.

Considering that Ann hasn’t lived in Edinburgh for almost 20 years; she still has a lot of friends here, so she’s got lots of people to see, lots of places to go and lots of things to do.  That means that I have to stay home alone quite a lot.  On the plus side I get lots of uninterrupted snooze time.  The older I get, the more snooze time I like.  Infact do you know what?.................  I’m not really doing my ‘guarding’ duties properly anymore.  The postie put loads of junk mail through our letter box this morning and I didn’t even wake up.  Ann thinks I’m going a bit deaf.  #gettingoldisnofun

Anyway I had a lovely snooze on the sofa this afternoon and Ann had a lovely lunch and a few glasses of wine at  'The Huxley' with ex colleagues that she taught with about 25 years ago.  Leaving teaching was one of the best decisions she’s ever made!  Teachers don’t actually seem to teach these days.  They just seem to fill in loads & loads of paperwork??!!

By the time Ann got back, big fat hailstones were falling out of the sky so she was pleased that I’d had a proper run about up the hill this morning.  I got taken out for a little half hour ‘on my lead’ walk.  It was OK but the hailstones were quite big and they were hurting me.

Curled up on the sofa having another snooze now.  …………..And apparently Ann’s got more wallpaper stripping to do tomorrow.  Boring!!!!

Edit - just look what my BLIP was 5 years ago - almost the same as today??!!  Isn't it wonderful how you can look back on stuff???
