Sophisticated

Had a drive out this morning to see the Beach Canteens on Kite Beach again - all part of the Food Festival that we haven't checked out yet - and it will still have to wait for another day...

In the afternoon though, we headed to Raffles Garden where a Food Festival event was organised for the weekend. I'd never been before so thought with free entry to the Garden, this is a good time to check it out! A nice enough event, but not well organised I'm afraid. It was a really warm day and there just wasn't enough shade. The poor live band had to play in the sun with no shade whatsover, to say nothing of the bar men trying to keep the ice from melting! We didn't stay too long!

Came down and G went off to make enquiries about their Afternoon Teas - which is served at the restaurant at the far end of my blip. It's hard not to be impressed by grand interiors. It turns out their Afternoon tea is fairly reasonable so it might be something for my birthday.

And it was a very relaxed rest of the day!
