Father Timofei's Church

Quite an unusual church tucked in a corner on the edge of Munich's Olylmpic Park. Father Timofei fled from the Ukraine at the end of WWII. When he arrived on foot in Munich he had a vision telling him to build a church to unite the east and west. Most of Munich still lay in ruins and Father Timofei was able to find a piece of land and salvage enough from the war debris to build a church and a house for himself and his partner, Natasha. Father Timofei, known as Munich's hermit, died in 2004. You can still visit the little church. A few more photos and a little more background can be found in my blog.
