Ben Lomond Summit

An incredible day participating in a charity walk up Ben Lomond for Facial Palsy. It was a five hour round trip that really challenged me, especially as the peak had two foot of snow, a bit hairy walking it without crampons.

Completely lucked out with the weather, incredible visibility, could see all the way over to Ailsa Craig (Paddy's Milestone) and the isle of Arran, including the peaks of Goat Fell. There were literally too many images to choose from today, so here is one of my sis on the summit. The rest can be seen on Instagram, my username is kizbang

On a very sombre note, sadly a gentleman lost his life somewhere on or near the summit a couple of days ago, the incredible team of Lomond mountain rescue had made previous unsuccessful attempts over the last couple of days to bring him down. Thankfully, the rescue team were successful with the recovery today and passed us as we neared the summit. My thoughts are with his family.

The Scottish mountain rescue teams have my unwavering respect, regularly putting their own lives at risk to save others. Please take some time to donate to the incredible work they do.
