Girl with Little Owl

Visited our local garden centre this afternoon for the first time this year and, if the size of the crowds were anything to go, by half of Stirling had the same idea too, encouraged by the fine weather.
 
Inside the centre the first person I see is 16-year-old Rhiannon, with Popcorn, a Little Owl on her arm.
“Is he a young bird?” I ask because he is the smallest owl I have ever seen.
“No, he’s ten years old.”
   
Popcorn belongs to the Little Critturs small animal and birds of prey centre based in the garden centre and predictably he is very popular with children.
