Distraction

Was planning an early Blip and early sleep but as always got sidetracked. Opened Blip and the latest Blip on the Browse page which I seldom look at, caught my eye and as always I get interested in the person behind the Blip and go back a day, a week, a month, a year .......And as, almost always, very interesting and one would really like to know more. Then the hard decision: if you "Follow" them then you add another journal which you are afraid of not being able to fully keep up with. I have several of these where I only get to dip in to very rarely and the second journal was just such one and then dismayed to read of SweetArt's 10 day ongoing battle with an attack of Bell's Palsy, something of which I had heard of but had no idea what it was. Tough gal, great family and friends and she will fight it off soon - I read it takes a bit of time, so relax and try to compare the lack of facial muscle  coordination to that when the dentist has injected a tooth and you wander around for an hour or two thinking you have a lip the size of a Botox junkie and can't speak two words correctly - no one notices it but you. Get well soon.

Mucky day - rain all morning and white rain all afternoon and by the time the evening walk was due, it was just beginning to settle on paved areas. On grass and in the forest there are leftovers from the almost daily snow flurries but underneath the ground is sodden mud. Horrible and a nightmare with the dogs who come home covered in mud even if one walks on firm tracks. I do hope that further up in the Alps it's colder and the snow stays for at least another 30 days. Got a skiing expedition planned the weekend of 2nd April.

Flash brought a Flash of Red (as opposed to a RedFlash) to brighten the horribly grey photo - even if I learnt on week 1 of the photograpy course that all cameras on Automatic try to get pictures to 18% grey. If I had paid attention to the following weeks, I probably could have done something with his red coat. He doesn't like being Bliped in it - he's a Border Collie: sheep, dales, fells, hills, mountains, dirt, rivers, mud. But for us he sometimes has to be forced in to wearing it especially in the evening as he has such a thick, fluffy coat and undercoat that he takes hours to dry. Luna is quite the opposite - she is dry within half an hour.

I spent most of the day mucking about in the horse stables, moving around hay bales and tidying up all the things I have left lying around. Also spent much too much time looking at Youtube 1968-1973 music videos. An important stage in life (14-19) and full of wonderful memories. I wonder how many Granny's  shown dancing on Top of the Pops have to explain to their grandchildren what they were wearing - we won't discuss the male "fashion". Sad though that one feels uneasy looking at TOTP videos from that time. Within just a few seconds saw three "personalities" who should have, were or are locked up for their abuse of their "status". Then you see Tony Blackburn introducing a young Scottish football talent, Peter Marinello, who had just signed for a record breaking transfer fee of £100,000 to Arsenal. The events this week where a footballer earning almost that per week was locked up, just went to show that some never learn.

Have a good Sunday out there in Blipland. And to cheer you up here a bit of 60's for all the Grannys out there and my Grandpa thanks to you gals for making puberty so "exciting"! (luckily no Grandpas in the video)

Not having comments open is getting on my nerves but I am determined to see it through till Easter. Lent isn't supposed to be fun but I suspect I will need to go shopping for some strong Bavarian Lent Beer (Starkbier). The monks brewed it especially strong to get through Lent.
