New start in 2016

Not a nil return! This is a March moth and looks really fresh. It has to be a male because the females have evolved to be wingless. Saves energy for laying eggs. She must waft out an intoxicating pheromone.

Two brindled beauties in the trap too. Live trap and they all get left somewhere obscure away from birds.

The plants are pushing through and now the Spirng moths are gearing up for the chomp fest before the tree leaves become flooded with tanins.

For some reason the moth trap seems to be sidey-ways in the thumbnail.
