Alentejano Cuisine

To contrast with yesterday's bright colours, a mono... Dave (my brother-in-law) and Leyna took us, and Vitor and Bia, for a meal at Mora's poshest restaurant, O Afonso, for them to sample typical Alentejano cuisine - octopus, and partridge and veal and wild asparagus migas, and... and afterwards, back to Vitor and Bia's for some Port wine and Poejo liqueur.

That's the advantage of church at 5pm - time to socialise afterwards. Another sermon done; only one to go.

During the day, we took them to Évora, the capital of the Alentejo; the countryside as we drove there so beautiful - all the flowers strewn under the cork oaks...
