Feeding Time

4th march 2016:

All this week we have up to 70 boarders at our factory premises, all here to earn and improve their grades.
I doubt if there is any other establishment in Mzuzu feeding this many people for Breakfast, Dinner and Supper but our guys are.
We have employed five of the best teachers we could find in the are to revise, relearn and study, study study
Of course they had Nsima (boiled and boiled maize flour) for Lunch here, with Usipa, small smelly fish, cabbage and tomatoes.
For breakfast there was rice and soya and tea, while for supper Nsima and beans. they all agreed it warlike party time every day.
the sad thing is that most of these girls barely have one meal a day at home, are constantly starving and resort to eating things like boiled blackjack, a weed and maybe sweet potato leaves. So many are starving here now. It makes us cry. Corruption, stupidity, poor management, and laziness all combine to form the perfect storm of famine, maybe with a small f, but its not over yet
