Pieces

A meeting today at the Briggait, and was lucky enough to have a tour, including some spaces still to be properly re-developed.

The building was Glasgow's fish market until the 1970s and I remember it being a place for boutique shops in the 1980s but it didn't last - Glasgow wasn't quite gentrified enough I guess.

But its been converted now into artists studios which are working well and also a public space that's just beautiful for fairs and events.

This shot from outside shows how the various building clutter together, some of which are in the plans for the new venture. The steeple dates back to 1665. The blue sky was just good luck.
