Too early!

It was a frosty start, but despite the chilly weather, the bluebells in Thorpe Wood are coming into bloom, the earliest I've ever recorded. Interestingly the wood anemones are not particularly forward at all, and I struggled to even find a few leaves. The bluebells made a lot of growth over the autumn and winter, when temperatures were exceptionally mild, whereas wood anemones only come through in early spring, which has been much cooler.
