A Life In A Box

One of the jobs on our "to do" list today was clearing Tess's Dad's possessions from his room at the care home.

Ron's life is reflected in the items here: his 64 years of devoted marriage to Tess's Mum, Jean; his love for his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter; a high flying career in the label printing industry, running companies, writing books and magazines on the subject, judging international competetitions, acting as an expert witness in corporate legal cases; his national service in India which led to a lifetime fascination with the country; his love of photography (he had his own dark room when Tess& I first met) and gardening (he was a member of the National Hosta society and wrote articles about the plants as well as judging Tiverton in Bloom for a number of years); his interest in The Darwin / Richard Dawkins Evolution debate; his love of crime fiction and whisky (often enjoyed together!)

Of course, this box only begins to tell the story of a full life, well lived.
