University Parks: Grape Hyacinths

More ribbon-like leaves in large.
Portrait version

I love these grape hyacinths, and was thrilled to find them emerging from amongst the crocuses in the University Parks; I had fun taking pictures in the park until it started to rain... I saw a goldcrest, and although I followed it around for a little while I didn't get close enough to get a decent pic.

I've uploaded several other shots to Flickr (right from this wood pigeon amongst the blossom).
Highlights:
Grape hyacinths from above
Sweeping leaves
Knitted leaves and inflorescences
Wrapped up (= blip alternative)
